I have studied and worked with the Cecchetti Method for nearly 35 years. I am extremely grateful for this excellent method, seminars, and all my coaches who have helped me accomplish my study and exams through the Advanced Syllabus.

I continue to work on Diploma Level because it is the completion of the puzzle. I have been determined to continue in spite of my frustration and distressed moments because I’ve realized how my teaching has improved extensively, and as a result my students continue to pass exams with commended evaluations.

The comment made by one of my examiners that has kept me going is, “You can change your body at any time, regardless of age, with determination, dedication and concentration.” The Syllabus has helped me be more thorough and accurate in my teaching and above all I have developed better eyes to see faults and make corrections. I use The Syllabus as a tool, framework, and guide for my non-syllabus work.

The Syllabus is a structured and balanced training which progresses from beginning to advanced through professional dance levels. The assets of the method are: body alignment and control, quality technique, grace, poise, posture, flexibility, confidence, and musicality. The coordination of arms and head with the body create the beautiful line. I recommend that teachers continue their studies and stay current in the greatest method of ballet – The Cecchetti Method.
